Divorce delays
By The Copenhagen Post Published 04.06.08 00:00 Judicial reform and new laws have put the nation's divorce proceedings into slow gear  according to attorney association Family Lawyers of Denmark. Since last year the average period for a divorce to be legally approved has risen from 3.3 months to 4.4. The association said the delay is an economic burden on families. The courts say lack of funding is to blame as it has prevented the hiring of more administrative employees. |
